Originally from Puerto Varas, a city in the tenth region of Chile, Real Travel had its own stand at the most important Spanish-speaking Tourism Fair, FITUR 2025.

From Puerto Varas to Madrid, the Chilean tourism app, Real Travel, continues to consolidate its international expansion. The startup, which connects travelers with authentic experiences through geolocation, had its own stand at FITUR 2025, the most important Spanish-speaking tourism fair.

From January 22 to 26, the application represented Chile at this global event that brings together the main players in the tourism sector. In its space inside the America Pavilion (stand 3C11), Real Travel highlighted four destinations in Costa Rica: Arenal, CETUR, Bagaces, CATURGUA and the artisan with the identity of Heredia, Taabit Joyas.

“The importance of being one of the four stands in Chile lies in the fact that we are a reference at the national level. Being at the most important Spanish-speaking fair means that Real Travel is expanding, consolidating and becoming a benchmark for accessible and touristic technology,” he said Marta Lorenzini, Founder & CEO of the app.

Real Travel: Expansion and Growth in Costa Rica

With more than 10,000 users in 92 countries, it has seen accelerated growth in Costa Rica, where the user base has increased by 700%. This has allowed it to reach a monthly average of 4,250 active users. In the last eight months, more than 2,000 sessions have been registered in the app to consult information about the country. This translates into a special interest in the five tourist routes available (more than 3,300 inquiries) and accessible beaches (200 monthly visits).

The choice of Costa Rica as a strategic point for the startup responds to its recognition as one of the leading countries in sustainable and responsible tourism. This makes it a pole of attraction for thousands of daily visitors.

Innovation and improvements in the user experience

For 2025, the startup is preparing a series of improvements that seek to make the platform more interactive and inclusive. Among the new features, there will be added Artificial Intelligence tools, new features for people with visual disabilities and improvements in the user experience. In addition, the startup will continue to strengthen its presence in Chile, Costa Rica and Central America. In line with its mission to democratize access to tourist information, Real Travel it's still a 100% free platform.
